Mission Statement

PostMilitary.com was developed to help veterans of the U.S. armed forces make the difficult transition from military to civilian life. The purpose of the site is to provide informational resources for veterans and their families on everything from post military education and career options to tips on military benefits, money management and housing.

The idea for the site sprang forth from CKMG CEO Tom Elliott, a second-generation paratrooper. When Tom's military service was complete, he found that there was total lack of viable resources that would support and educate members of the military who were transitioning back to civilian life.

"I was completely lost," said Tom. "It took me a couple years to figure out how to properly apply my military skills to a civilian career. I didn't realize how valuable my military experience was spending time with my peers in college who seemed to be years behind me when it came to responsibility, work ethic, teamwork and adaptability. My goal with PM is to help remind those who have served of their value in the civilian work force while providing them with the resources needed to figure out which career path is right for them." 

PostMilitary.com is dedicated to serving those who so bravely served our country. The site will continue to develop resources in order to help veterans make a smooth and successful transition into the civilian world.
