Quick Update…

We’re about 10 days away from formally announcing PostMilitary.com to the public. PostMilitary.com is an informational portal designed to assist military personnel and spouses of military personnel by providing the most up to date information addressing the needs, concerns and queries from our troops.

This is a project I’ve been thinking about for a long time. My personal military experience was very positive. Unfortunately I never had a chance to serve overseas but I was lucky enough to meet some of the best friends I’ll ever have. I always told myself that when the time was right I’d do something to give back to the people that helped me get to where I’m at today and a big part of who I am came from my experience as a Paratrooper in the Army.

My time at Fort Bragg was bittersweet. As a young enlisted soldier during peace time you’re forced to learn discipline through unglamorous tasks and details. I can remember one in particular where we had to paint the rocks in front of the Corps Artillery Headquarters along Ardennes because a battalion up the street had just re-painted theirs and you know how things get when they aren’t dress right dress…

My perspective then much like it is now was to look at things objectively to try and understand what lesson needed to be learned. I always thought of my time in the service as a time to get stronger, to improve, to pick up fundamentals from the leaders I looked up to and to decipher which leaders I didn’t want to be like.

I’ll never forget the times I had while serving my country with some of the greatest men and women I’ve ever known and we’ll do our best here at PostMilitary.com to serve those who have served us.
